FCN Faculty and Student Research Recognized at ENRS Annual Scientific Sessions

The M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing made a noteworthy appearance at the Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS) 36th Annual Scientific Sessions held at Boston Park Plaza on April 4-5, 2024, earning two student awards, presenting 17 posters and papers, and leading one symposium.

Students earned second place in two categories for their valuable contributions to nursing research:

During the symposium “Mothers Who Harm Their Babies: The Nurses Response,” Elizabeth Dowdell, PhD, RN, FAAN, Professor and Coordinator Undergraduate Research, Sunny G. Hallowell, PhD, APRN, PPCNP-BC, and junior Alyson Ludden shared their interdisciplinary work with colleagues from Boston College. Their data-driven research brought together the perspectives of students in nursing, forensics, psychology and business on the devastating social and financial costs of neonaticide and infanticide. (See 18 below.)
